i'd tell her that it's a collection of personal thoughts and that you wish to keep your journal private (including from her). isn't that what a journal is used for (personal and private thoughts)?

well you're not really lying in that case, since you aren't actually admitting that there's any writing and/or thoughts jotted down. only that you don't want to share them. you might have thought of nothing that day. and all the other days as well, haha. |
