Yep, then I went to meet her and it all went downhill from there.

No. I wasn't "in love" with my girlfriend when we began talking on the net, and up until we met, I didn't know what to expect. We met, and things went well. Kept going to see her, and on the third visit I was smitten with her.

I think you can feel like you're in love before you meet someone, and might actually be in love. But meeting someone can really be a shock to the system. Without meeting them you don't see mannerisms, gestures, quirks, facial expressions, how they carry themselves, how they interact in real life with other people, how they interact with you on a day to day basis. Meeting someone in person can be a deal breaker as well as a solidifier. Awesome post!!! |

Have you ever fallen in love with someone online but never met them in person? I dont know about the big L word, but I have made friends with people online that have lasted several years. Talking, emails, messengers, web cams back and forth. Its amazing how close and intimate the communication can become over the course of time. |

honestly i have...
but for me.. love is not the physical aspect.. it is the emotional bond that you can share.. it is shared interests, the ability to work out diferences, TRUST, compassion... there is an attraction factor.. but they make webcams for that.. there is wanting to talk to eachother because you know that if you are wrong about anything, they will show you the truth, and gently teach you the wrongness in your ways... love is 2 people who have an emotional "BOND" (if you will) that far surpasses anything that anything physical could ever do... the physical will heighten that, but love is an emotion, not a physical thing... well thats how it is for me. 7 months together... still going strong. 3 physial meetings.. and so much phone/internet time i couldnt begin to count.. |
