That's kind of a rude statement. When I was 28, I was asked how I could get to that age without being married or at least having a kid. As if the only point to life is to get married and have kids.
Maybe some people didn't make marriage the focus of their life. Maybe some people had a lot of things they wanted to do in life and went after those things. Why does a person have to have gotten married to have 'lived' so to speak? |

Just because someone never got married or didn't have kids, that doesn't mean they never committed to anything in their lives -- !! There are other things in life -- !! I see it as "preventative medicine." I have never smoked a cigarette in my life -- lung cancer runs in my family, so why risk a problem when I can almost certainly reduce the chances considerably, simply by NOT doing something that really would make no sense for me to do in the first place, anyway? I've been married, and I wish I hadn't been. I would certainly never do it again. And I never had kids, but I knew from an early age that I would never want any. Does that mean I've never committed to anything? Hardly....people who know me would say quite the opposite.... |

some people commit to different things, doesn't mean anyone's wrong. just steer clear of those commited to being jackasses! and maybe, just maybe there's a guy out there that's been saving himself for someone just like you.

How you feel about getting in the relationship makes sense.. But people not finding the "one" and not having kids aren't oddities, it's just how their lives have gone... I love my kids too but would have rather married the "right one", life if what it is we deal with it as we make it and catch what is thrown at us... |

I'm 35, and was married, and we didn't have kids due to unforseen circumstances. Heck. Some people just don't want to have kids, or medically they just can't. |

I kinda look at it the same way... at 40 and never been married, I'm a bit concerned with his stability. Now there are other factors that may over shadow this, but if they seem the least bit flakey and never married.... I run not walk to the exit.

Face it. If a man is over 40 and never in a marriage or live-in relationship, the guy is not going to make it very well when it comes to having what it takes to make a relationship. For example, how do you learn to share and do things as a couple when you have over 40 years experience of doing everything alone?

dont think i ever talked to you, and you wouldnt even be part of this equation , you were married. lol True enough, but I would hardly call THAT a commitment. A mistake, maybe; a delusion, sure, but a commitment? Nah, that's a bit of a stretch....! |
