What do you think about the seat belt laws???

i was pulled over today i drive an 81 camaro the cop was gonna ticket me for have my son (10 days old) in the front seat. i told him there are only lap belts and no air bags, so its safer in the front seat. he let me go.

I think they suck. I am against most laws like that. Smoking laws, too. Safety laws are created to slowly chip away at our freedoms.

all they are are ways to make more money.......most the laws are put on the books because it will piss everyone off

I think it all BS...I should be the one to decide if I want to have it on or not.

I wonder how those of us a litte older ever made it thru like with out being killed. My parets cars when I was little never had seatbelts exept my dads arm. no bike helmets ect ect ect

they also protect kids that have no freedom and do as there parents say and do. when i was a kid they didnt have the seat belt law (or they just didnt enforce it) so my parents never made me wear one. i dont think it was made to chip away at our freedom or to make money, it was made to encorage parents to make sure there kids are buckled up safely

as for smoking laws, i`m a smoker and can agree with the laws because not everyone wants to inhale our second hand smoke. i myself have no problem going outside away from non smokers to puff down a ciggy and blacken my lungs even more

(blacken my lungs didnt sound so good, i think i`m gonna try to quit now...lol)

humm a seat beat or your dad/moms arm across the chest i never got stuck or had burzes from mom and dad lol there shpuld be safty measuers for kids but as i tell my daughter its my choice to make till she 18 i have to help her make good decisions, as for me am responsable for my decisions
