With the realization that it is difficult to read every post in a thread, it is often vital to do. No where in the beginning of this posting did the one who started the thread refer to any one as being "insane".
Second the phrase "hail mary" has been used in football for at least 25+ years. To my knowledge...and have a number of Roman Catholic friends, none have ever found the phrase "offensive". It is always dangerous to make hasty generalizations.  JMO

I like his choice! Why, because she is attractive? I can't think of any other reason. Yes, she has a record of fighting political corruption and that is something that needs to be done in both parties. Isn't she being investigated for abusing her power to get someone fired from the police force? |

Is Palin the most qualified person that McCain could have picked? I am embarrassed that he picked Palin. Can you imagine her as our President? It can happen. He is 72 years old and had cancer four times. I believe if they become President and Vice-President, he has put our country in jeopardy in the event that he would die. Other countries must be laughing at us, IMO. Is Obama the most experienced Presidential candidate the DNC could have picked? oh ahahahahahaha.... ya think that McCain was actually welcoming this comparison?

The more I read on Palin, the more I'm convinced she's just another closet liberal posing as a Republican.

A lot of politicians have a record of fighting political corruption. Oddly enough it always comes out right before an election. Than after they're elected, everything goes back to status quo again. Maybe she'll be different, but then again, she's a politician. They always lie. |

I like his choice! Why, because she is attractive? I can't think of any other reason. Just take a minute to look up her credentials.  ....a mighty strong woman who takes a tough stand on many issues.........SHE IS AN EXCELLENT CHOICE TO HELP RUN AND DO FOR OUR COUNTRY.....I FEEL VERY SAFE AND SECURE WITH HER AS VP!

Did we forget that congress has done nothing but block anything that came through in the last 8 years? And they have a lower approval rating than Pres Bush You say that like it's a bad thing. Personally, I'm all for Congress writing less laws. They screw enough up as it is. |

Evidently McCain thought he was going to lose for sure, so threw up a "Hail Mary".  OH MY, I wonder what all the Catholic Christians are thinking over this statement???

The "Family Values" candidate cheated on his wife and his present wife is an addict that stole drugs from a charity once upon a time. And the new VP pick's daughter is pregnant and only 17 and not married. That's funny after listening to the Repubs. cram family values down our throats for the last 18 mths. Hmmmm....Obama and Biden seem to have pretty nice families. |

Financial security is one thing, this is pertaining to an unstable world that we are living in. The world was unstable at those times as well. Today the instablity is more instantaneously known. Unfortunately we are living in a time that Religious Extremist...Christian and Non-Christian are again wanting to destroy the other in the name of god. Don't think God or One's Higher Power or what ever title you want to use likes it. JMO |
