What can I say about this world And all the hurting people in it? At break neck speed we're often hurled And can lose ourselves in a minute. To pass on by the needy ones Requires our justification. Inhumanity often stuns Beyond all appreciation. I think we are all scared to death. So we withhold our understanding. We are frightened with every breath, That we are the ones needing mending.
