Forget cooking and take out. Go out by yourself and hit a great restaurant! I go out and eat alone and it's not about the company you keep, but the food you eat! I can't go to a nice place alone, I feel very very awkward. I know I shouldn't , but I do. |

I really enjoy cooking for my kids when they come over for the week end. Its disapointing when they aren't hungry. But I don't "make" them eat.
Sometimes a meal can take as long as 15 mins to eat when you're single. 
Grazing from the fridge.
Eating because you're bored.

Well I guess I'll go to the A&W in the next town over & eat a burger in the car while I drive past the Shire horse farm & see how much the babies have grown.

when i go out and eat alone...i will sit at the bar. most of the time you can get the same menu at the bar, and then the majority of people there are by themselves as well...makes for great conversation between them and the bar tenders. If I had it my way, I'd be cooking at home for my guy, too

i've eaten at restaurants and had drinks at bars alone before. i'll probably be doing it again for the foreseeable future. no biggie.

If I had it my way, I'd be cooking at home for my guy, too I absolutely do not sit at a bar alone. Well it depends on the bar...if it's a nice restaurant...no worries. If you were in a real bar, I can see why you might not want to sit there by yourself. But in a nice restaurant that has a bar, it's very comfortable...there usually isn't a "meat market" type atmosphere. Might want to give it a try. Might meet some friends, male or female. |

When you go to a restaurant, most others are with someone and paying attention to the ones they are with or their own food. When I am with someone else while dining out, I never pay attention to those who are alone. The other option is to request a more private table when you enter the restaurant. |
