We all know about the negative parts of online dating, but what's the upside for you?
For me, I like the fact that I can get to know a person without having to go out to the bars, clubs, etc. This is just me, but I feel like when I meet someone in the real world, things move at much faster pace then what I'm ready for. When I meet someone online, I can get to know them (somewhat) at my own speed without the worry of rushing into anything way too soon. Any one else have an opinion on this? |

I like the fact that I can get to know the person first. I am WAY too shy in person. Much more open online. I am more me, and I think in the end I will eventually find somebody that likes me for me. Some day. Say Ooooo a decade or so?

I just like that I've made several good friends online, I've dated a few and been serious with a couple, but it's cool.

While a means of passing time and making some people smile.
There are many on here who just need to have a friend. Meeting strangers and then becoming friends here is as much a PART of this site as the dating end of it.. 
Caring, giving, helping, and making some smiles,,,,,,, THESE,,,,are all my UP-SIDES!!!

Online dating sites are a long shot at best!! Yeah, but that's okay for me cause I'm not in any hurry to find someone so if it takes me a while, then so be it. I'm happy where I'm at in my life and personally, I think that is what's most important to attract someone. |

Actually I agree with whisper. I like to talk AND get to know people for a really long time before I even go on a date.....the word of the day is LEARY.....BROUGHT TO YOU BY THE LETTER 789 AND THE NUMBER H!!!
