So I got a new purse and wallet today and when I went through the bag there was a $500 purse in it that I didn't buy.
keep it or return it...let's have a vote... |

 honesty is the best policy!
Just went through this scenerio with my youngest son..he cashed his payroll check the other day and the guy gave him twice the amount..my son said "his mistake".. I had a LONG talk with him about honesty and the price the guy would have to pay for making an honest MISTAKE.. could result in his job loss, what if he had a family to support, etc... (he returned the money)

I jokingly said to the guy who bagged my stuff "I didn't buy that one but if you want to throw it in for free I won't complain." I guess he though I was serious??? I was with my mom...first thing out of her mouth was "Let me have it!" It was very difficult to bring it back in, it was the larger bag in the same series as what I purchased =(

but I don't want a gold star I want a purse haha no, it was the right thing to do but my friend did bring up the point that anyone who was a witness to that conversation might think he did it on purpose and I might have actually gotten him in trouble by returning it. |
