Topic: How many people don't believe | |

that somewhere out in the vastness of space, there are other worlds like ours? There probably were at some point, but being as how most of those worlds are SO far away (even for light to travel) that chances are that they're probably extinct by now. Sure, there's always the chance that some civilization will have some kind of faster-than-light technology to zip between galaxies with or some wormhole-producing machinery that will warp the space-time continuum to all hell just to get between two points, but I actually think that's a bit of a stretch. |

I do not believe there are any other creatures like us in the universe.
I think there may be amoeba like lifeforms on other planets but not any other creatures who are more intelligent than us...on any other planet, from any other galaxy in the universe. |

Nothing like ours. We'd have heard their music on the spacenet or www...somewhere.

It is not MY belief. I just answered the question, is all. Would you like to engage in debate? I come in peace just so you know. |

She's flashing alien gang signs.... am not. (that is a totally, earthling type, defensive response...circa 2000) |

that somewhere out in the vastness of space, there are other worlds like ours? That's ok. Do you realize that even if there is life on other planets, we're so freaking retarded and insignificant that none of it cares about us in the slightest? |

that somewhere out in the vastness of space, there are other worlds like ours? I just wonder if there's a planet where people can write a profile that won't put me to sleep in 12 seconds.... |

I'm just as surprised as you are.... Scientific American ran a great story on Parallel Universe Theory a few years back -- explaining that there are (or were, at that time) 4 basic concepts of what parallel universes would be like. A fantastic read and I would recommend it to anyone who is really interested in the subject. |

Scientists should rename black holes...into something fun.
I mean, was Uranus the end of witty names???? (The topic is 'worlds' like ours...not necessarily 'civilized'...LOL) |
