If you want to bring candy I would suggest making it something small and well chosen. A box with three or four pieces of handmade chocolate or chocolate dipped berries you made yourself would be nice.

I think what you bring should depend on where you are in a relationship. Most people provide clues to their likes and dislikes along the way. A gift that shows you are paying attention is very flattering I think.

On the first date, no. I prefer they just bring themselves and plan to get to know each other. If we hit it off and see each other again, then yes, candy or flowers is a nice gesture.

I don't eat much candy though so too often would not be good..lol

First time I met Captain in Baltimore, he brought a dozen long stemmed roses, a bag of chocolate and a stuffed moose. He said he wasn't sure which one I wanted, so he covered all the bases!!:heart:
