yes but ur losing the point. thats wrong. everyone is in agreement that that is wrong. the point is that religon, while it has its good points was created so that people could have a better understanding of themselves as well as begining to understand the difference between right and wrong.
in a lot of religions we are still living in the age of the dinosaurs because no one is willing to compromise and or admit theyare wrong.
yes, people kill people under the guise of religion. but if you dig under the surface it isnt really religion at all. its oil, its control, its power and money and psychopaths.

We have a president whose agenda included PROTECTING Christianity. He has stated so on many occasions. Furthermore his actions substantiated his words even further.

We were in a situation in which religious fanaticism could easily be targeted by this president.

Currenlty the Oil companies in this country (U.S.) have have their fourth record quarter in history.

Currently there are many fuel options available, but instead of spending the money pursuing them, this president is spending more to make a non-Christian country, a much more liberal democracy complete with Christian legalities.

Imagine that!

Yes - People not only look to god for all the parental particulars, but they admit to it too.
"the holy father" "god the father" mmmm

Frued observed and wrote what he observed. Not all of his observations have stood the test of time, but I see little to refute his observations about god.

Freud was a pervert whom related all his theories with sex.
If he was able to say that a baby has some sort of sexual arousal while being breast-fed, he is not worthy of that much attention.
It is also proven with the fact that freudian school in psychology has lost a lot of its practioners.

actually you're wrong...

well the emotion to the father bit is correct.
however, freud did not believe that religion came from childhood experiences, religion derived from human beings basic instincts which freud thought were like cannibalism, incest, murder. Therefore, we created religion to help set up boundaries of where these rules would stop us from doing the basic instincts the primal instincts....

ps. i can get you the article name that this is in if you would like i can post it tomorrow :) the father bit though is on track

however ultimately we all know freud wasn't all there he also believed that we all have the oedipus and electra complex! and he believed in penis envie.. no offense guys i like being a girl... freud is just a little out there....

“The derivation of a need for religion from the child’s feeling of helplessness and the longing it evokes for a father seems to me incontrovertible, especially since this feeling is not simply carried on from childhood days but is kept alive perpetually by the fear of what the superior power of fate will bring.”

..Sigmund Freud
