Just a summation in poetic form, that I think would help solve the war problem over in Iran or Iraq. Just my opinion of course.
I Have An Idea (That Just Might Work) I have come up with an idea That just might work, Bring our troops home So no more will get hurt. Our prisons are over run With death row inmates and the like, How about train them And put them to war to fight. Give them the promise That if they survive, Nothing will be misconstrued Or contrived. Their life will be reprieved If they chose to do so, It will save the taxpayers money If we let them go. We are, as taxpayers Paying for their meals they eat, We are the ones Going down in defeat. Why let them sit in a cell When they could be used elsewhere, For the ones that they killed They didn't show any care. I know killing isn't right But if we have to go to war, Why not use the ones in jail And let them settle the score? No more paying of medical bills Or supplying them with meals, Let them serve a purpose If they agree to the deals. I believe that also It will influence others that see, If they commit a crime Then war is where they'll be. This is my own opinion So how do you feel? Do you think it will work If we give them a deal? |

They tried it once
in a movie I saw They took the soldiers that broke the law. They trained them well, and gave them ammo They took on Krauts and they went BLAMMO !! The Dirty Dozen was the flick And in my mind the theory did stick. |

It would be great if it could work!! I have many friends over in Iraq right now and worry everyday about them. If we are paying for the criminals anyway why not let them fight the war?

Well we are Tazzy. Us taxpayers are paying for them to eat well, medical bills, for their exercise equipment, tv's and all of it, just so they can sit there while waiting on their time to die. It's a shame we have to pay the Government for all that when we could be using that money to send them to war and bring home our men to train them and let them go in their place. |

What will stop them from an attempt? The law didn't in the beginning and won't in the end and when their on your door step will you be prepared to defend? Free better killers scary thought.

WOW - incredible idea----only thing I would do differently is that IF THEY SURVIVE the war would be then to return them to jail/prison, the "deal" having been to take them off death row....that way if they do survive, they are not back out on the streets causing further harm to innocent people.........

yes, that is a good enough deal for the real corrupt crooks ... not releasing them into the community but i do know that some people are in there for only pot possession ... i don't think the laws should be so strict for people who are non violent & for those who are not sex predators |

The war in Iraq is criminal but once we sent troops, we were committed to stay. You can't expect deviant types of people to obey a sentence to fight. They would escape. They would continue to do as they please. There is no honor among such people. That is why they committed their crimes in the first place. The dirty dozen was a movie.

I think it is a great idea. They should earn their own way instead of us paying it for them. They committed the crime, they need to do the time and the time should be spent over there fighting for their right to be free.

I feel this is a good idea and a bad idea.. Artist is right in my eyes... I don't want those kinds of ppl watching my sons back..in Iraq... during his dployment....Sept.08 - May 09... just my feelings.. I agree the sustem has to many flaws etc... It's very sad.. I want brotherhood..Marine with Marine..Brotherhood.. They will truely watch over each other.. I already talked with Brett..he wasn't feeling well..his Marine Brothers took care of him..just as he would have done for them... Semper FI....
