I too have been through a lot recently and I have come to the conclusion that I can handle anything that comes my way.
In fact I am at a point where I am saying brig it, bring it all and the sooner the better. Because if it doesn't kill me I will be stronger and either way is fine by me at this point. This is just for me not everybody has the courage to scream bring it and mean it and then is willing to take on the consequences of that challenge and yes I am very aware of "watch what you wish for yo may get it" I would rather end the issue then live in the issue.. I got a saying, handle you problems before they handle you and that is where I am at........ Stress goes away when the issue goes away. Good luck to the both of us.... |

Heya Longhaul,
I feel your pain. Or rather, I've felt it. I never found anything to make it better. Only time. I tried to excercise but my heart was racing even before I hit the track or worked the weight machines. I couldn't sit still. I couldn't keep focused on anything. I refused to take any anti-anxiety meds, which may have been a mistake. But this I can tell you. It will get better. This too shall pass. Hang in there. |

And above all else, remember that you have friends here that will support you in your loss and problems whether we have been in your situation or not.

OK, so I am Indian... We kinda like to sit back and toke A LOT but for dif reasons other then just to get high. Most people assume thats why we Indians are usually very calm. Its NOT , from a VERY early age we are taught breathing excercises.
Lay down in a QUIET room on the floor (if you can lay on the floor) close your eyes think of your feet start breathing thru your nose VERY slowly VERY DEEP and out of your mouth very slowly and imagine you are breathing from your toes, then gradually work your way up your body. Do this for 20 minutes. I PROMISE IT WORKS! Let me know if you liked it or not. |

The most important thing I learned in stress reduction is to vent it in a positive manner. Talk about what's bothering you with a loved one, but never stow it, or store it in a part of your mind where it's neglected for too long, it WILL become a serious problem.

Exercise, talking about it, alcohol........I do it in that order. No wait, first alcohol then talking then exercise. I can't remember now...maybe it was just alcohol.

not meaning to be rude here, but what stress are you having? You aren't married, no kids, and you are only 25.
