Ok , so we decide to take a short trip this year to Huntington WV .
While there our room is broken into, while we were at camdon park, kinda like kings island if you know what that is. Just smaller....
Anyway, we return that evening only to find the door was wide open and a watch was laying on the dresser, next to the watch was what HAD to be a CRACK pipe! Then they took everything in the fridge plus all my FOLGERS!
Ok so cops come , we move rooms... all is well again.
Next day we go to HILLBILLY HOT DOG BUS in Lasage WV! Saw it on Diners Drive Inns and Dives, LOOKED awesome right???

Well, with just adopting our daughter last year we really had to go somewhere within 2 hours drive... GAS is CRAZY!
and we wanted to go , just to go I guess.

I've had lots of both good and bad vacations, both mini and regular. When you travel, you just learn to roll with whatever happens, focus on the good, figure out a way to laugh at the bad (eventually) and move on to the next one. I could tell you horror stories about Belize and Jamaica, but they'd have you laughing. We lived it, learned from it, laughed at it and moved on. Wouldn't keep me from going back either

Vacations are the best. The beach and the sun during the day then get dressed up and hit the boardwalk or oceanfronts. Gotta take a vacation yearly or twice a year if you can.

we help her to bed in OUR camper
she throws up every where
rained the WHOLE WEEKEND

i had to take a trip to mt. hood, oregon for a job once. it was probably the most harrowing experience i had ever been through.

my pop (who was with me on the job) had gotten his hands burned on another job the evening before we were supposed drive up to oregon. this meant he had to take a trip to the emergency room, which took all night. this sucked because we had to be on the road by about three in the morning (to beat the supposed fourth-of-july traffic).

this also meant that i would have to drive the whole way BY MYSELF (over 1300 miles total) over a period of a day and a half... in a twenty-hour stint, and in a twelve hour day stint the following day.

and THEN we had to do the job, which was an even BIGGER joke. four days of complete hell on mt. hood dealing with a totally incompetent production company from the UK.

the drive home was a repeat of the drive going out to mt. hood.

the experience was a complete joke. if i EVER have to drive that far in that amount of time again, it'll be too soon.

West Virginia is a beautiful state with lots to offer. My mom, and aunts and uncles were born there and I have visited many times. It's just gorgeous!!

I went to Charleston WV. I traveled by car from SD. WV is a tripy place. Yea I know I live in CA but we are talking weird there!

I saw hobos, Amish (they are called something else there). They had slum areas right next to industrial and new hotels. Its a weird place to visit.

Most memorable part of that trip was getting searched for drugs in OK. Unfortunately I said no to the search as I felt empowered. That cop showed me.

What are the Amish called there?
