The bright computer screen
the darkness all around it may seem
another week, another day
a verse to write, another way to say

over and over these days go by
some with all my heart, some with just a sigh
friendships are absent, distraction so apparent
hold on to all the love, what has that meant

memories of moments of a surreal life
take to heart or take it in strife
let go, praise the Lord for what we gain
keep going, keep smiling to keep from going insane

just remember if true is what you search
don’t sit yourself to high on that pearch
come down from your soap box
and love everyone, from the top of your head to your socks..
