Oh I wouldn't say I feel I'm competing with fake profiles. I'd say I was currently losing to fake profiles. You have to be in the game in order to compete.

keep your guard up but be nice you can't worry about other people and thier games...I am sure if you report them something will be done about it. Other wise there are some very genuine people on here...Like me!!!! just could not get my picture to load...

Fake profile? Sure just let me knock off half my age and make up more interesting stuff and then try to remember all the 'new' personal profile information about me and of course that pic of me has to go. Too much work!!!! :-)

OK, I confess. I'm NOT a millionaire with one foot in the grave and another on a banana peel. OR AM I?
Seriously, Although I've not personally run across anyone here that I know is telling falsehoods, it's common I think for people to exxagerate thier good points and downplay thier bad ones. Human nature. Some people do lie though. Outright and blatantly and are unrepentent if confronted. They'll just get a new pic, a new nym and be on another fantasy ride. I kinda feel sorry for someone who feels that they, as they really are, are not good enough. And I believe that I'd be a bit pissed if I were actually fooled by someone whom I thought was genuine and found to be a liar. But here...for about 2 seconds. This is this. Who CAN tell what others actually see in them? I think that I'm kind to all and smarter than most but I'm not sure all agree. Who we are to others is often not who we see ourselves as. The tendancy to paint the brightest possible picture of oneself is, I suspect, common to everyone online I suppose. Myself included. |

It is impossible to really know a persons true mindset on issues or to interpret their moral ground. A false picture can easily be painted in others eyes even based on the most truthful replies. ![]() |

Very easy ways to expose a fake.
1. ask for a phone number 2. ask to see a pic of them holding up somethng specific or doing something specific. 3. ask to webcam and I don't mean when you first talk to them...I mean before you invest a whole lot of yourself in this person who may be just a sicko out for kicks! |
