Can eating stale chocolate make you sick???? I am craving chocolate and I found a bag of Hershey kisses that have been sitting around in my room for a while......and the chocolate is smelling sooooo good but it isn't a real "chocolate" color..... Is it time to chuck them and say it's too late for chocolate??

i dont think i would eat them, sometimes candy that has been around a while can get little worms in them

when the chocolate has a white color to it it is the sugars breaking down. It won't make you sick but it also won't taste the same

Actually there is really nothing wrong with it, the discoloration is from the chocolate melting slightly and then hardening again. The taste and texture do suffer a bit too tho

go to the dang store!Anyway,they are still fine. The stores are closed here.....even Jon had to stop the car and look at me funny when I told him Walmart closes at 10pm here. He couldn't believe that ever close. So I guess it means no chocolate for me then tonight.....not that I really needed it.

As long as it isn't moving it's good to go. Occasionally I'll find chocolate from holidays past and it hasn't killed me yet.

Most everything else closes at 10, with the exception of Hardees, Kroger, and Phillips 66.

The white is the fat rising to the surface due to temperature changes. It's fine to eat it.

Okay.....I ate a couple of them......I haven't keeled over yet.....I think I will live!! But I am stopping for a candy bar on the way home from work tomorrow!!!!!
