Topic: Age.... | |

Does it really matter? I've been seeing this guy for about a month now, and he is the nicest guy ever. He treats me like a princess. He's thirty four and I'm twenty. I really don't see an major issue with it but I bet my parents do. They have a slight idea, but any advice?
Thanks a bunch |

I think if the love is strong enough, it can overcome anything including age. You may want to consider though what the age difference might effect as far as growing old together goes though.

If you like him, it should not matter!!

It's what you feel that matters. If it does not bother you or him, go for it.

In my opinion 10 years from now when you are 30 and he's 44 it won't matter, but at this point in your life I'd say it definitely makes a difference. Think about it this way... 5 years ago you were only in the 9th or 10th grade. 5 years ago he was already old enough to have graduated college, have kids, be married, own a business, be divorced...
I'm not saying it's a major no-no, but I just can't see what sort of foundation you could start a relationship when you are at such different stages of your life. |

I think that he may be too young for you.
Try 43. |

Thanks a bunch I would not encourage such a union having watched my parents 15-year difference and my g/f's 29-year difference. There are generational differences, expectations and tudes that most often cannot be bridged, not just the usual "fall out of love" catastrophies. I would suggest anything beyond 10 year differences is pushing their luck for success. |

I prefer older women to that of younger women, nothing wrong with younger I just find myself having more in common with older women then I do with younger women...makes for better and more conversation.

Sweetie I dated a man who was 43 and Im 21.. We had amazing chemistry and I loved him so much and unconditionally that I could care less about the age difference. I wont lie there will be some struggles because of the difference but if its truely meant to be you will work threw it.
