Topic: questions for the writers here... | |
---|---|
what makes you write, where do you think it comes from, and how do you get it written down?
me: i write for many reasons, often to attempt to purge bad feelings when the day isn't going so good, or i get a line in my head that becomes several lines and i'm off. i have no idea how i came to write. no one else in my family does. i have nothing ever written down. if i have an idea, i come here and hit "post new topic" and i start typing. i have no other copies of my poetry anywhere. i have no logical explaination for that... |

There are so many reasons I write it would take forever to put them all down so let me just give a few...
fear, anger, pain, sorrow, elation, just because I can, and sometimes I just have to (a thought comes to me and a story must be shared) Getting these things out is sometimes a huge task and others it is almost like another person is in control and I am just holding the pen... effortless! My ability comes from God as all gifts in my life but the subjects come from all things and people around me great or small and from the things that happen to me and around me in this world or perceived. I have also come to believe that I would be unable to write the way I do were I not bipolar. |

Hard to nail that one down.. Great question though!!! He would have to think and that is something painful to him so Wench has set a time limit on him for that activity. LOL |

I just love to write. I'm more introvert than extrovert. I need time to think. I'm not quick on the wit in public. I stumble. Alot. Especially with woman. Sometimes I say things and I want to edit what I said right after I say them. But unlike writing you can't edit what you've already said. Once it's said, it's said. So writing is a safety blanket for me. It keeps me warm when I know I have time to think. I can't carry an intellectual conversation without skimming through books of knowledge at the same time. I just don't remember that much too well. I have ADD. Not ADHD. I have to constantly keep myself entertained. Writing entertains me. Almost as much as reading. Reading inspires the writing. I don't know what else to say. I just love to write. If more kids played with books and not guns the world would be a smarter place.

A means of expression and sharing. The urge hits I let it fly through typing fingers.

To Write
I write to breathe I breathe to write my life is in pieces of paper snipits, phrases that sing through me a catharsis, a gift given to grow through scrutiny to grow past rejection complacency a need to share so others have an open door, a window a response that overtakes my senses compells me sometimes all the time many words to say much few words to express much more intense deep and the need to veil and fold a hope to feel love again to gift love to be naked vulnerable and hiding in plain sight plane sight site always love and sweetness Raine Les 7/23/2008 |

I write to express thoughts and ideas that may speak or inspire someone else. I continue to write hopefully to improve, learn and even listen to what other imput. I write to help someone else, or express an emotion.
I listen to a writers voice inside, and sometimes it inspires ideas for the future, or a really good fantasy.. I get lost when I write, but my education is much in need of a better vocabulary. I write to hopefully share the truth on my heart, and also share my Faith in Christ and hope for a peace in our world. I look to share my words of the love I often find in serving and helping others.
