On my way to meet a guy I met on another site, I was so nervous I thought I was going to throw up. After all, it had been 28 yrs since I had a date

I have A couple beers der and gargle ..then I put my lucky Saurkraut and brat in my left rear pocket.. then I'm good to go...

Depends on with whom. Some people as so relaxed and comfy to begin with that it's easy to also be relaxed. Others, if the anticipation and attraction are high, it's hard for me.

I'm even worse than that, I'm nervous until about date five. I figure anyone willing to see me five times must think I'm mostly harmless.

Not really, but then I'm not sure I've ever really been on a date with someone I didn't at least know casually through work or friends.
