I just saw the video. Jesse shows his true color! GREEN with envy. You'll have to forgive me as I don't live on these boards. Who are "the rest of us"? Does any of "the rest" have a job to go to? |

Ummmmmmm, no, "the rest of us" means everyone but the person you were addressing and can refer to as few as three people but used in the context you presented could be misconstrued as stating that the few of us that were not aware of your discussion with the masses due to the fact that we don't have our lives mired in online chatter, were in some way out of step. At any rate I am glad that you are posting here and setting an example for the....... rest of us. |

Well I don't think that Oprah and all of the other African American people are going to run out and support him for his comments!!! Its unreal how they protect their people if a "white" person makes a comment about them...you will see all kinds of African Americans sticking together. Sometimes I think they are the ones that are racist The above is absolutely right. The rumor is that Jackson said a lot more than that. He called Obama the "N" word more than once and supposedly trashed Obama pretty bad. O'Reilly admitted that FOX has a lot more than they showed. Additionally the rumor is that FOX is afraid to release the entire film/tape for fear of a reprisal from the Black Community. |

I don't care too much for Jesse. He thinks I owe african americans something because I am white. Well, I am italian/cajun heritage. Those people never owned slaves and if you check your history they were both treated pretty badly here in the US, yet I don't expect anything from the decedents of the people that did that to my ancestors. If you go back into American history, each and every ethnicity/race of people were poorly treated. You speak of your heritage .... mine is Irish. When the Irish first came here in the early 1900's, there were signs on all of the offices where people went to get jobs saying, "IF YOU ARE IRISH, YOU NEED NOT APPLY." I think as far as any of are concerned, white/black/asian/whatever, Italian/Irish/Polish/and etc., Catholic/Protestant/Jewish/and so forth, we have to quit complaining about the way American treated us in the past and move on. You are absolutely right; nobody owes anyone anything. Additionally, whining and complaining are not productive. |

Jessie is just jealous.plus bill Crosby and obama tell it like it is.thats the problem. that cant handle the truth. being a father is more then just making babies. Hey, let's not put all the blame on the men. The women are more at fault. After all, they are the ones carrying the babies. African-American women need to look around and realize that there are too many black babies born out of wedlock and put a stop to it. They need to tell the black men who want to have sex with them to either use condoms or marry them. The black women need to stand up and stop this cycle of poverty, which is what happens when young unmarried women have babies. The above does not apply to all black women, of course. In every race/ethnicity, there are always a certain percentage of men/women who do not do the right thing. |

Maybe if more women supported each other in building each other's self-esteem, morals, and values, we wouldn't have this problem as bad as it is today. |

Why do some of you people keep making this a black/white thing??
Listen very carefully: OBAMA IS RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES NOT PRESIDENT OF THE BLACK/WHITE PEOPLE. GET IT THROUGH YOUR THICK HEAD. WHAT PART OF THAT DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND? |

GET IT THROUGH YOUR THICK HEAD. WHAT PART OF THAT DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND? I agree wholeheartedly. For me it is that someone who is supposedly held as a commentator of reason !?!? is trashing someone behind the curtain while praising in public. Credibility, if ever there was any, is out the window for Jesse. |

Hey, a lot of us are up late at night for various reasons. Some people work during the day. Therefore, they will get on the internet during the night. Some of us, like myself, can't sleep for one reason or another. So, we get on the internet. And, of course, I am sure some people do not have jobs for a multitude of reasons. Does that answer your sarcastic question? (rhetoric) |
