Catholic Doctrine on
The Blessed Virgin Mary The Catholic Church teaches that the Blessed Virgin Mary is the holiest human being that ever walked the earth, after Our Lord. Her holiness also exceeds that of all the angels, even the highest Seraphim! No other mere creature gives such glory to God. Our Lord gave The Blessed Virgin to all mankind when he entrusted St. John with her care as he was dying on the Cross. "Woman, behold thy son... Son, behold thy mother." Catholic commentators agree that all mankind was represented there in the person of St. John. Our Lord gave us his most precious treasure! We should treasure her, to honor Our Lord if for no other reason. The Power of Mary in the Latter Times But the power of Mary over all the devils will especially shine forth in the latter times, when Satan will lay his snares against her heel: that is to say, her humble slaves and her poor children, whom she will raise up to make war against him. They shall be little and poor in the world’s esteem, and abased before all like the heel, trodden underfoot and persecuted as the heel is by the other members of the body. But in return for this they shall be rich in the grace of God, which Mary shall distribute to them abundantly. They shall be great and exalted before God in sanctity, superior to all other creatures by their lively zeal, and so well sustained with God’s assistance that, with the humility of their heel, in union with Mary, they shall crush the head of the devil and cause Jesus Christ to triumph. Why a Mediator with God? It is more perfect, because it is more humble, not to approach God fo ourselves without taking a mediator. Our nature, as I have just shown, is so corrupted that if we rely on our own works, efforts and preparations in order to reach God and please Him, it is certain that our good works will be defiled or be of little weight before God in inducing Him to unite Himself to us and to hear us. It is not without reason that God has given us mediators with His Majesty. He has seen our unworthiness and our incapacity; He has had pity on us; and in order to give us access to His mercies, He has provided us with powerful intercessors with His Grandeur, so that to neglect these mediators, and to draw near to His Holiness directly, and without any recommendation, is to fail in humility. It is to fail in respect toward God, so high and so holy. Do you believe she was the holiest person to ever walk the Earth? |

No. The whole idea of the virgin Mary is an icon or symbol that represents the feminine goddess energy. It is nothing more than an ideal. JB |

I don't agree with this last statement, at all. Salutations Miguel, May there be peace in your heart and mind. Can you explain why you don't agree to the Catholic Doctrines last statement? because it seems like an ancient version of the doctrine. It is true the doctrine of intersection since the Virgin, saints, and every person who died in Grace are alive in heaven, so it's OK to ask them to pray for us and with us. You have seen so many posts here requesting prayers here, well the same principle applies with people in Heaven. Now what I don't agree is the fact of my unholiness or non-worthiness I'm not able to go straight to my Father in prayer. I think each individual is God's child no matter who he/she is, and is worth to go to the Heavenly Father in prayer. To clarify this point you can read The Prodigal Son parable. Now after saying this do not take me wrong, don't think that the blessed mommy from heaven and all the saints don't deserve the respect and veneration that they really deserve for living their lives to the fullest in the Lord Jesus Christ. |

WHat about MAry Magdalene....? Regardless of the accepted beliefs she was his MAIN disciple, therefore should be considered equally important...However most Catholics are taught otherwise, thanks to "Saint" Peter...No offense to any Catholics, I just feel many thing the Catholic church did in the past is what is keeping from knowing the TRUE nJesus, and his teachings...
As for your question, there were MANY great MAsters from MANY religions and spiritual practices..Buddah, Jesus, Krishna, Vishnu, Mohammed, etc...So whos to say...? |

It is what the scriptures say. In Isa it says..To the Law and The Testimony if they do not do as this it is because thier is no light in them..
Joseph if you remember was sold as a slave put in prison accused of having coming on to the pharoah's wife and thrown back in prison. Yet through all this he was given the Land of Goshen where his Descendants lived for 430 years. But he was never bitter over what happened to him his brothers hated him and when a drought came he saved his family and never said a word about what they did to him.. He just welcomed them after a little while with open arms. he wept over his brothers who sold him as a slave and told thier father he had been killed. So in Ps.79 It calls Joseph the Testimony. Isa. is speaking of Joseph when he says to the law and the testimony. The testimony being this is your example of carrying out the Law.. Yahshua did the very exact thing. In Rev. It says that Yahshua is the Testimony.. Again refering to our example of the Spirit of the law. The law was always meant to be spiritual because Yahweh says also Sacrifice he does not want but a broken and contrite heart Ps. 53. So we have 2 examples of the Spirit of Yahweh. Joseph and Yahshua. It says it clearly about the 2 of them. Joseph's sons were even adopted then.Having a Egyptian mother. If we read Hebr. Yahshua's sacrafice has made it clear that we can become Adopted sons of Yahweh Just as Joseph's sons became adopted by his father Jacob from where His name was changed to Israel which we have now. Joseph is not spoken this Highly of for no reason.. Shalom...Miles |
