Actually it all depends what it is your hiding in the first place. For if it is Cancer or some type or illness they would be very understanding on those cases more so then most would think. If it is that you are currently seeing a psychiatrist. Then it would all depend on what for and the reasons. People are much more understanding then most think when you are being honest with them then when your trying to hide something. I don't consider myself hiding anything, she does'nt know about this, nor has she asked. At this time I have not told her, but if she finds out before I tell her, would she have a right to be angry, or feel deceived. |

Hurt in the fact that you didn't feel you could trust me enough to know that I would be understanding after being together for 6 months. Besides, if you are planning to have a future with this person, wouldn't you rather get everything out in the open now and take the chance on her reaction then wait even longer then you already have? If it is something that could cause the relationship to end, then you might as well face up to it now, then drag it on. JMHO |

JMHO Trust can be easily lost or misplaced, you know just by looking into the person's eyes. That's what I fear, I'd rather wait a few more months. |

Being vulnerable doesn't always have a bad outcome. Maybe, but why risk it ? The risk is loosing her. If you're not honest and comfortable after 6 months, that may be a problem in itself. |

This is like glam photo's. You know, the photo's some people post, that are like 3 years ago, when there 60lbs less, thats at the perfect angle?
The idea is that after a while of talking to someone they will fall inlove with you, and the pictures wont matter. Thing is, people get pissed and feel lied to. especially if its a hidden suprise, like there married :p Privacy is stuff that doesn't effect the relastionship. Like if i want to keep a journal, or if i beat up a homeless guy when i was 10. Lieing by omission is something that effects the relastionship. Like if i had a disease that effected the quality of my life, or if i lost my job. If she doesn't want to be with you because of it, then she wouldn't of before. Your going to tell her anyways, because you wouldn't of started this thread if you wern't going to say something :p But if you need convincing, i'll say this. If you had told her earlier on, and she left, you would of been able to move on. If she doesn't, then you have held on to this for nothing. Either way, do you really want to waste more time? Honesty sucks because she might ditch ya. Honesty is great because it doesn't prolong the enevitable stuff. weather that be wondering if she will leave or her leaving. |
