I'm not. I keep forgetting. If you have any tricks like the guy on TV who memorizes the entire audience' name, please tell me.

I'm getting worse as I get older. But, I do still try to do word association if it's someone I know I will need to meet again.

I am horrible. When I'm introduced to someone, I automatically here 'Karen, this is blah blah'......I literally do not hear their name. That's bad, I know.

I have to ask names twice. Once after I am introduced and after talking to them for a bit, if they seem worthy of remembering without doing anything out of the norm, then I ask their name once more and I do not forget it..... Unless it is has been a year + after that first encounter, then I will forget.

I just give them a username that I can remember. laugh laugh

Seriously though, if I use their names in the first 5 minutes after I've heard them, I'm usually golden. At a meeting or luncheon, this means I will go for a cup of coffee I don't even want just so I can say, "Jerry...aren't these the best cinnabuns ever?"

I also try celebrity association too...pick a celebrity with their name. So, Jerry is now Jerry Seinfeld.

repeat their name when introduced...use it in your conversation a few times, not too much to be annoying, relate it to something about them...

i.e. No1sLove...I think is Lovely...hence I don't forget her name! flowerforyou

or if introduced to Bill and he has a ballcap on...the bill of the cap...

old tricks from school!

Good Luck George!! flowerforyou
