My daughter is 10 yrs old and she stays up with me sometimes until 3 or 4 am. WOW! My daughter (and myself) wouldn't know how to function if I let her stay up that late. |

Midnight!! Kids need their sleep. They do their growing when they sleep. They don't feel well and get crabby when they haven't had enough sleep. This may surprise you, Robert. When mine was 7 y/o, they went to bed at 8:00. But...mine slept 12 hrs. |

My son is seven. Bedtime is 9pm on schoolnights, 11pm during the summer. But he gets to sleep in since I don't work right now. We'll have to ease back into earlier bedtime in another month already. His father lets him stay up till all hours which makes is very difficult for me on Sunday nights when he returns from visitation.

My brother's ex-wife does the same thing with my nephew and my brother has to fight with him to get him to sleep. It drives him crazy, but there's nothing he can do about it. |

My kids are in bed before 9pm most nights. Then again they are only 3! I need quiet time. Go to bed....I don;t care how old they are!

Unfortunatley there are no laws against plain BAD parenting |
