you should definatly have SOME kind of picture up makes a HUGE
difference ,, put up something that reflects your personality ,,but you
should also have a picture of YOU somewhere on your profile ,, it shows
you are real ,, and some one ( think it was (Z) said ) " would you buy a
car which you have not even looked at ???

yes i would rather see the person i am talking to.

I'mm sorry to say this it is important because if you looking for
someone that means that the attraction has to be there and with out a
pic that is not going to happen and I don't care what you say as far as
I want people to look at me from the inside it's the outside we look for
first You can be so beautiful inside and that does matter but if you not
showing a pic and if you do sometime down the line after getting to know
someone and they not attracted to you what do you think is going to
happen????

I agree with you guys... it is important to be able to relate to an
image of a person... it makes you look real.

Those of us who are fortunate to have the sense of sight, are
unfortunate enough to depend on it. What we see is a stimuli, and I
agree with Txsgal, your chat pic does not have to be of you but a
relection of your personality, but for the one on one, I think it's
important.

Everybody has always told me and said it on post, that hey I put
mine on here and its only doing what I have done!!!

Now, that does make sense!

And, if I was going to pick one to put on here, I would be
very picky as to what others think in your family or friends,,of the
pic, before you post-it,
I have seen many here who have put one or two BAD PIC'S up and had to
change them, but by THEN,,the ones who saw their bad pic's will not ever
look back at them to see their NEW ONES!!

I posted some bad ones, when I first came on, and then posted others,
but it is important to do you justice the FIRST time..lol

well, not showing a picture is ok, maybe the person is a bit shy or
wants to look mysterious, but posting your picture has some good points.

It's like a sign of confidence. You are who you are, after all.

Red, you are spot on as usual, humans are visual creatures, and curious. A picture reflects some of who you project yourself to be, and a picture does speak a thousand words.

Genetic inheritances, phyisical attributes, just plain dimensions of the potential of the personality that resides within.

If we are honest with ourselves, visual stimulation adds, enhances the person with whom we are communicating with...and we are more open to communicating when we have a visual reference point.

I feel that a picture is important whether it is always up or in your account pics. I hate looking at BLUE BOXES!!! Use funny pics but don't just go blue!!

No Blue! No Blue!!!!!!! Just something that reflects you and your personality. So even if you don't have a real pic of yourself, even in your profile, they can find you interesting and then after you bein a friendship, you can show a pic. It is not a waste of time and shows some character and maturity for someone to get to know someone who doesn't have a real photo. But the other side of the coin, a lot of people are mistrustful about it and some do have a point in that choice.......
