So, are we saying that we would share our most personal thoughts with everyone we call friends? I have a lot of friends, from here at home to all over the world, but very few of them are close enough to me, that i would share intimate details of my life with. I think in reality everyone pretty much feels the same, at least to some degree. |

I have a hand full of VERY close friends. You just have to be very careful who you really trust.

I've learned through trial and error. I've placed trust in those that were ultimately untrustworthy who then twisted and used inside knowledge to try and embarrass and humiliate me. Fortunately, it did not work. However, now as a consequence I do not trust so readily, but I have little doubts as to who are my true friends.

Well I have seen it happen many times were some consider certain ones their friends. Tell them things they only told them and did not want it spread. Then to come to find out they stab them in the back in the end.
Myself I have several friends but only a choice few I would tell certain things too. As far as trust I do trust all until they give me something to doubt that trust. But just because I trust one does not mean I trust them with my deepest thoughts or my life. To me those are things that takes time to trust others with. |

I agree with you and Mitch in that I tell probably 4 people the details of my life, who is in it and to what degree. Some people just do not have pure motives I suppose. |
