I was taking a walk early in the morning on monday. I stayed at the lake this weekend and I like to take walks when Im out in the country because the scenery is much better then in town...not to mention much bigger hills to hike up and no traffic. Anywhoo..I was walking along pushing my son in his stroller and I cleared my troat...to my surprized something made a simular noise like it was copying me. I paused my ipod and looked to see if anyone was behind me. To my surprize a young deer raised its head out of the ditch about 6 feet away from me. I showed my son the deer and we looked at it for almost 10 mins until a car came and scared it away. So I started walking again and about 10 mins later I hear that noise again! The deer came back! He didnt have spots but he was very young. Well the crazy thing is he followed right behind me for the rest of the walk, I ended up shooing him away towards the end of the walk just because more cars were starting to pass by as the day got later and I didnt want him to get hit on my account. But how weird huh? I feel like the "Bambi Whisperer"noway laugh

When you walk across the fields with your mind pure and holy, then from all the stones, and all growing things, and all animals, the sparks of their soul come out and cling to you, and then they are purified and become the holy fire in you.

That's a really cool story. Is your son old enough so that he'll remember that when he's older? "Bambi Whisperer". That's funny.

That is so kewl but they sense fear. Which you were not showing. Smaller ones are more apt to come closer out of curiosity. For they do not understand fear as well as the older ones do.

What a sweet story though. bigsmile

Its funny when I think about it...

When I was 16 I used to have a pheasant (rooster) that would chase my car and follow my for almost a mile. "Road Runner" huh?

Last summer I had a brown bear in MY driveway! I live in TOWN! and my town hasnt had a bear in YEARS and out of ALL places it was in MY driveway! It was crazy they wrote a story about it in the paper with my address listed!

and this summer I have a robin that made a nest in my backyard in the fence that separates my padio and my neighbors. i live in a condo type complex "monopolyville" I call it...but out of all the units it could have picked it chose mine! But then again i have a bird feeder...I dont know! Its funny the robin stuck a tag in the nest that it had found and it says "Warning: Do not touch" -I'll take a picture of that when shes not in the nest. ironic huh?laugh

and now the deer this weekend! WOW, Im like Dr. Doolittle

I was a little nervous when it crossed the road and started following me. I even asked him "are you following me?" LOL
