My daughter's boyfriend called me today... they are five hours away... and he asked if it was okay to marry my daughter. He was on his way to pick up the ring but wanted to ask me before he asked her to marry him. (I have a feeling she already knows!)
The first thing my mother said to me was... "So now you will be a grandmother!" Okay that is pushing it a bit far. Me... a grandmother? Seriously... I just had to share the news with everyone. |

He's a real nice guy and he is waiting until he graduates from college with a bachelor degree before they get married. I couldn't ask for a nicer son in law.

Eileen... the first thing I said was "What are you crazy?" The poor guy asked me "What do you mean?" I told him I was just joking with him. I knew he was nervous about asking me. I told him I loved him and I also reminded him that it was a life time commitment and to make sure this is what they both wanted.

Consider the hug done Eileen! Noah is doing well... although I tried giving him a hair cut and with Down syndrome he has sensory issues.... so using the clippers on him was a challenge and a half. Thank goodness he will out live this hair cut since we have a few bald spots... poor guy! However he looked in the mirror and said "I love it"

It IS a big year... my daughter turns 21, my two sons turn 18 and 16... and I will be 22 in spirit once again on July 4th. So looks like we have lots to celebrate here! (I'm still sane after five kids too!)

Thats awesome. My oldest daughter just turned 18 and graduated high school, then looked at me and told me, "you do realize that I can legally have sex now...".
Damn kid is always gonna get me, hehe. |
