Isn't there anything guys can keep for themselves? Well, it goes both ways. Fathers who are single parents raising children get to have Mother's Day well-wishes too. Did we forget about the linguistic terms ?. . |

The enemy will do all he can to tear apart a family. My hat's off to all you single parents out there. Ask the Lord for his help and guidance and see what help your local church will provide'd be my advice.
A good Bible-believing church should be able to render you some help and assistance, at least in helping train up the kids in a moral direction to go and teaching them some respect for authority and the word of God. I'm very glad my folks got me into church when I was a kid. It has helped me a heck of a lot, whether I chose to follow God's way or not, the teaching was always there as a guide and a help to me. Happy Father's Day, parents! |

Yeah, but she wasn't a single mother for long!
And, remember, it takes a village to raise a village idiot! |

As a result of many possible scenario’s, you are single and raising your children alone. Being mother and father at the same time. I won’t call you a saint. I know why you push on I won’t tell you how easy it can be. I know the hardships personally However…… I will say that I admire your courage greatly. I know you don’t see yourself as courageous. I will tell you that your children respect your strength. Even when you feel weak you are a super hero to them. Mother’s Day is not your only day for others to recognize you. You get Father’s Day as well and you deserve it more than some fathers do. Happy Father’s Day Moms We all love you At least we know why your single. I know more dirtbag mom's then I do dad's. I went to a parenting class, and one of the mom's was high everyday, such a good example for her 3 kids. Are you drawing an assumption from my OP that is possibly distorted due to your own situation? This is not about deadbeat parents. The many reasons can include them but also include widows, women who chose to have children alone, whatever the case may be. With an attitude like that I can't for the life of me see why women aren't falling at your feet offering to be your carpet so you don't dirty your shoes. |

Men don't get high, I guess. But then again, I would wager a far greater number of men walk away from their kids than women. There are some wonderful single dads out there and they deserve all the accolades; but there are far more single moms. My ex felt that being involved with his own child was optional. Many men feel that way; not as many women. i'd rather be high than low... and with attitudes like this guy... i'm surprised we're not all high all the time and in defense of the woman you say was high maybe she was on medication, & btw... at least she is trying... she was in a parenting class, you know... and...mr.judge & jury ... you need to find some heart & compassion for others <<<< Right On...Hiker Chick.... >>>> |

The thing is there are good and bad parents of both sexes. Why blame it all on the moms? I know plenty of dads that would rather get high than be with their kids; and moms too.
So what? Why don't we celebrate the good parents who sacrifice everything for their kids..the ones who go online instead of going to the bar, so they don't have to leave the house? The ones who put their kids first with every decision they make? How about a round of applause for those parents, moms or dads? We are all trying to fight the good fight when it comes to our kids. |

moms are anything but worthless. They are why we get to celebrate Father's Day in the garage.
That is what my son and I did today. Put some MSD wires on my crewcab dually, which cost me $90, installed four speakers in the four doors of it to enjoy surround sound Air One while driving ,which cost even more, and then we took the other hotrod over to Big 5 and got some super weights for my son's incline bench. 160 more pounds worth, and that cost ME $200. Then we went to Foster's Freeze and had some 22 dollars worth of great burgers and their excellent chocolate milkshakes. That cost me another $22.46. And I only get $100/ month child support for doing all of the raising of our son Come on now, THAT is how you do Father's Day.!!!!! |
