Yep, Gene Simmons is a great businessman. No arguments from me. But after 35+ years in the music biz do you think maybe he could learn how to play the bass??


His reality show is classic though. He's better as an actor.

I do have to say I like John Mayer. Both as a writer and player. He's really good. And you can say it's just cuz I'm a woman but I love him.

I have it wrong. I was referring to "tapping," rather than simply playing the neck.

My older sister saw Hendrix at Shea Stadium when he opened for the Monkees. Can you imagine the faces of those poor pre-teens when they saw this big black man humping his guitar???


Oh and I have a musical taste confession to make which might get ME banned from the musical threads. In spite of the tie-dye t-shirt, I HATED The Grateful Dead. The rythym section sucked and I DESPISE the sound of Jerry Garcia's playing. I do understand that he was an extraodinarily gifted guitarist, but to me it is the guitar equivalent of Steve Perry's voice.

Oh yea, I figured you guys would like that. Don't get me wrong I'm not one of those "boy band" kinda girls, but he's cute! And ANY man who can play blues guitar is smokin hot in my books. Just saying.
