Ok so I was wondering what everyone thought about this:

I've got this friend. We hang out all the time and when we don't we're always texting. He's fun, caring, a total geek like me, and we have tons in common.
The problem is that he's engaged. I've never met or seen her. And they don't have a good relationship. He's with her because he says no one else wants him and he's really insecure about a limp he has. She's not even that nice to him.
Its all been platonic and I don't want to be the 'other woman' in any way. But everyone is starting to whisper and I'm worried he'll get hurt from that.

Well if you both have feelings for one another why not tell him the honest truth and tell him he should marry you not her.

I'd say he's making a mistake if the woman he's about to marry isn't the right one for him etc.

I mean this could be one of many reasons why marrages ends so fast / quickly etc.

Better to speak up now before he's married. If you care about him, would you let him marry someone he'll be miserable with (even if your feelings were completely platonic)?? Nah, ya gotta speak up - for his sake, not yours.

They don't like each other. She's mean to him and he just avoids her. And she will not talk to him. I've been told she's just bossy and won't listen to him when he tries to talk to her.

And why are they getting married?

Well, since you like him so much but do't want to be the other woman you're caught between a rock anda hard place. Abot all you can do without getting in the middle of things is to let your friend know exactl how great he is, despite his insecurities. Maybe he will realize he doesn't have to settle for someone who is not the right one for him. Will that mean you get him by default? Maybe, maybe not, but at least you did what you could without directly interfering.

Just be honest

There you go dear. That is your answer! Talk to him and let him know what's going on in your head. He can do better and it's best for him to be with someone happy and to live with someone misrable
