there seems to be some controversy in the states as to what really was going on with him. does anyone really know. i mean, was he trying to take over the states with his peace speech or what.

I thought everyone liked John Lennon, well, except that one guy. Personally, his music was very melodic, but too preachy, I prefer Paul or George's solo stuff. (Okay, Paul had Wings, but still solo stuff)

He was a great artist. His wife was/is the nut case. I completely agree. He had some great songs. Definitely one of those artists that is not easily forgotten.

I think he was a bit of both.Anyone that has that spark of genius about them also have a spark of insanity.Just look back over most of the great composers and artists.Even up to the rock stars of today,i.e Axl Rose,Kurt Cobain,Jimi Hendrix
