I am not one to post these kind of things, so this is really hard for me. My sons best friend, scott, who I love like my own, is needing prayers. Long story short, he fell yesterday and landed just right ( wrong really) and ended up in the Emergency room with severe abdominal pain. He was rushed to a more advanced hospital where he was rushed into surgery for a severe lesion to his pancreas. They removed half his pancreas.

While recovery today, his home in which he shared with his father burnt to the ground, with his father trapped inside. I held this boy and my son in my arms tonight and we all cried and cried and cried. Scott looked at me and said why????

how do I answer that???

This kid is only 17. He lost his mother when he was 7. He just lost everything. He has nothing

Oh my word! That's horrible! I'm so sorry for your son's friend. I'm so glad that you're there for him. I would have no idea what to say...and maybe it's not in the sayin' but in just being there...like you are.
