Topic: How would you feel..

My 14 year old son is in Florida on vacation with his dad. He called me this morning and said "I hope you won't be mad but I got a tattoo." I was like.. a temporary one? Nope.. a real one! He said it's a small Chinese symbol on his arm. Of course with him being 14 his dad had to sign for permission. I am the custodial parent and was not asked about my opinion on this one bit! How would y'all feel about this?

I think it was not appropriate...but it's a choosing your battles kind of thing. I would certainly voice my opinion about it...to them both.

I would be upset.....his dad and I would be having a serious conversation.....does that mean he can drink at 16????

Yikes... Are you ok with it? Had you previously told him no? I'd have a problem with the dad not asking, especially with a 14 yr old. And I'd have a problem with my son if I had previously told him no. Good luck with this!

I'd knock your ex off the planet earth first off. Than bless your son a new A-hole and get him to get it off his arm I'm quite livid for sure.. but it's permanent and having it laser removed is costly unfortunately....

Yikes... Are you ok with it? Had you previously told him no? I'd have a problem with the dad not asking, especially with a 14 yr old. And I'd have a problem with my son if I had previously told him no. Good luck with this! No I'm not ok with it at all... and his dad and stepmom love doing thigs to piss me off... they truly need to grow up!

WELL dad should sure hear what you have to say that happened with my son only it was his bro that took him at 16 for his first tatt boy did they ever get it now they r grown and the tatts look kinda cool

make your ex pay for it, since he took your son to have it put on.

I would be upset as well, especially if you are the custodial parent. You should have not only been consulted, but should have had the final say as well. Don't be too hard on your son when he returns home though. He's been manipulated by his father and is just as much a victim as you in a way. He is too young to understand how though.
