I am craving a beach trip down to the Gulf!!!! I used to go several times a year. In the last 9 years I've only been twice. I need the sunshine, the ocean, the sounds of waves and gulls, the sand. I want to sit under my umbrella with a good book and just stare out. At night, great fresh seafood to eat and walks on the beach. This sounds like a dream few days to me!!

Oh I've been to Cocoa Beach! I went to school in Tampa!!!
And we would drive over to Cocoa on Saturdays~go to Ron~Jon's Surf Shop!

I'm in Birmingham so about 4.5 hours away from Gulf Shores. Haven't been down since Ivan. I was there 2 weeks before he hit. I'm feeling it calling my name!

We used to go Bournemouth beach in England and in summer you get sunny days for surfing bit some days it would rain and we used to cook plantins on the bbq yummy those were the days yeah

Hey I'm coming real close to Birmingham next week!!
And hitting the beach in September --- cannot WAIT. It's one of the best weeks of the year - free (the house anyway), fresh shrimp and scallops every night mmmmm and an all girls trip!!

I'm addicted to the beach, spents weeks on Padre Island. Now my beach is just 10 minutes away. But the water has been gone for millions of years.
