I have a Koi/Goldfish pond.

Anyone else enjoy this hobby?

I find it very relaxing to sit by it and hear the water flowing from the fountain.

My fish will come eat from my hand.

I know saltwater tanking is a challenge. I have a friend in Oregon who has very large saltwater tanks and all kinds of coral. I think you would find ponding alot easier and cheaper...but not cheap LOl Not according to what I have spent this month on mine happy

I used too at my old house until the neighbor kid threw a couple of chlorine tablets in it and killed Goldy and Locks. sad

My sister had a huge beautifully landscaped one. Her husband grumbled about it the whole time, helping her dig it, make it, fix it, the time she spent on it...drove her nuts, til his work buddies told her he was showing off pictures of it at work "Look what we did..." laugh

We put a big one in for my Dad a few years ago, he loves tinkering with it, has named all his fish, he sits out there for hours watching them and all the hummingbirds. So neat.

Yeah...and the pond was turned into a fountain with flowers around it...so it's not so bad. I'll have another one one day maybe. I love a coy pond. flowerforyou

I have two koi, one is Monroe(marilyn) and the other is Morris(the cat). I have two shubunkins named Flim and Flam...one brown goldfish named Brownie, of course lol...I have about 6 goldfish all named Goldie...then I have Bubba...bubba is a bass I caught. He was my first and only bass...about as long as my hand when I caught him...I didn't want to throw him back in lake so I put him in my pond. He can't stay there too much longer...he wil eat my fish.

Well, my pond has progressed alot since this pic...I took this one just right after it was put in...notice no water plants,,,you can see liner...no fish...no waterfall...it is a 1500 gallon pond...nice size to start. Honestly,I dream of a larger one, though.
