...can be incredibly annoying. I was talking to this lady with whom I work. After a bit, she started playing with her hair. Just kind of wrapping her forefinger around strands of her hair. For some reason this bothered me. Don't know why. Was she bored? Angry? What?

Actually, the simple act of playing with one's own hair is not necessarily indicative of anything of import. It's what she is doing with her eyes and body language that would have done the computation. If only I were a fly on the wall, who could verbalize....
