Morning Vanessa.Feeling kinda lonely this morning and it got me thinking about the troops so instead of feeling sorry for myself(being in relatively way better conditions then they are} I decided to send some tributes out to our soldiers. My sisters husband is a Submariner in the Navy and though stateside now , has served proudly for 18 yrs in the NAVY. My Dad is a Vietnam Vet and I know what my Mom went thru when he went to war and what my sister has gone thru when my brother-in-law goes to sea for 6 months. My ex boyfriend and still good friend is a Vietnam Vet who served two tours (marines and army) and won a silver star for valor. He was a medic. He suffers from PTSD but is a wonderful soul. So my heart goes out to all who have loved ones and to all those who are serving across the globe. Also to the little ones who miss their parents while their away. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh ... that is sooo beautiful !!! God Bless Our Soldiers & Their Families & all of the Friends & Loved ones in their lives {{{{{{{ <<<<<<< Jackie >>>>>>> }}}}}}} You are so richly saturated with noble Military People.... How Fortunate you are & what an awesome Honor & Blessing but, how difficult to endure for everyone involved |

Invictus Out of the night that covers me, Black as the Pit from pole to pole, I thank whatever gods may be For my unconquerable soul. In the fell clutch of circumstance I have not winced nor cried aloud. Under the bludgeonings of chance My head is bloody, but unbowed. Beyond this place of wrath and tears Looms but the Horror of the shade, And yet the menace of the years Finds, and shall find, me unafraid. It matters not how strait the gate, How charged with punishments the scroll, I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul. written by William Ernest Henley |

I am thankful for the many things I have in my life, but I am most especially thankful to the brave men and women that put there lives on the line, daily, to defend our freedom and keep us safe. I am proud to say that I am a Military Mom, both my sons and my daughter in law serve in our great military, and I couldn't be more proud!! I thank God, daily, for these special men and women in our military and ask that He keep them safe and bring them home soon to their families.

many prayers for love & understanding ...
for infinite wisdom divinely given to the leaders of our Country and for wisdom & love to be the only inspiration bestowed upon All of the leaders of this world Barrack Obama 44th President (2009 - Present) Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek. My job is not to represent Washington to you, but to represent you to Washington. If the people cannot trust their government to do the job for which it exists - to protect them and to promote their common welfare - all else is lost. My parents shared not only an improbable love, they shared an abiding faith in the possibilities of this nation. They would give me an African name, Barack, or blessed, believing that in a tolerant America your name is no barrier to success. There are patriots who opposed the war in Iraq and there are patriots who supported the war in Iraq. We are one people, all of us pledging allegiance to the stars and stripes, all of us defending the United States of America. There is not a liberal America and a conservative America - there is the United States of America. There is not a black America and a white America and Latino America and Asian America ... there's the United States of America. Tonight, we gather to affirm the greatness of our nation - not because of the height of our skyscrapers, or the power of our military, or the size of our economy. Our pride is based on a very simple premise, summed up in a declaration made over two hundred years ago. Today we are engaged in a deadly global struggle for those who would intimidate, torture, and murder people for exercising the most basic freedoms. If we are to win this struggle and spread those freedoms, we must keep our own moral compass pointed in a true direction. We have real enemies in the world. These enemies must be found. They must be pursued and they must be defeated. Americans... still believe in an America where anything's possible |

THANKSGIVING PRAYER FOR OUR SOLDIERS
Today we gather around the dinner table with family and friends to share good food, warm laughter, and the happy memories of Thanksgivings past. But for many families, whose loved ones serve in the Armed Forces, this year's Thanksgiving celebration will not be complete. A familiar voice will not be heard and a chair at the table will remain empty because, they have someone far from home serving our country. Today also, members of the Army, Marines, Navy, Airforce and Coastguard (men and women, Active Duty, Reserve and National Guard alike) will gather in mess halls or in tents across the globe as friends and comrades to enjoy the traditional Thanksgiving meal. So, as those of us who are blessed to be with our families celebrate and give thanks, let us remember in our kind thoughts & prayers the homes that have an empty chair at the table and also offer a special prayer of thanksgiving and ask God’s Blessings for the brave men and women of our Armed Forces, whose service and sacrifice will, we further pray, make the world a better and safer place. And a very special prayer dear God, for those homes that have an empty chair that will forever remain vacant and for those servicemen and women who have come back to us, may their sacrifice not have been in vain. THANKSGIVING PRAYER Oh God, when I have food, help me remember the hungry. When I have a home, help me remember the homeless. When I am with friends and family who love me, help me remember those who are friendless and shunned. And remembering, help me destroy my complacency, move my heart and reach out by word and deed to those who cry out for what we take for granted. |

Greetings from Bright & Sunny Northern California coming from a geographical location & altitude which is < not quite > as high elevation wise & it is not nearly as quiet or as rural as i'd like & love my home to be... but this Message comes with Love & Good Cheer from Some One who still has Wholesome Dreams & Lofty Aspirations High Hopes & A High Altitude & Attitude of Heart even though it is so bleak at times I try to still shine light & love from my heart & upon you but it is really hard to be positive or happy when our Families & Friends in the Military are working so hard & being subjected to such horrors & atrocities & have to work such long hours & endure other extreme conditions overseas soo please let's all pray & try to figure out a way to bring our Troops Home Soon |

hey Rapunzel how you doin? sorry life just jumped up and smacked me in the face. Movin workin on gettin into school... yeah Hey there Wiccan Cowboy... {{{{{ <<<<< William >>>>> }}}}} How nice to see you Sweetheart. . Awwwww... I am glad you are out of the Service and home now & going to School... but i know that it is far from easy for you back in the states now... remember that you are well loved and appreciated even though there are people out there who try to hurt you like you and i talked about when you had a leave back home... & they will say things that are less than kind & respectful... but...just hold your head up with pride any way for you have fought the good fight again & again and you stood up for your Country and for fellow Americans and you tried your best to help innocent people in war torn countries & you did it with love & courage & a sense of duty in your late teens & early twenties and that is much much more than many people ever do in an entire lifetime please don't let their comments ever get to you in any way remember these things i say to you please & the love & pride that all of us here have for you those other people are ignorant & do not have even respect or appreciation for themselves... so it is impossible for them to have any respect or appreciation for some one else and they are very unaware of any thing other than their own little reality and they just can't see a bigger picture sooo...i love you and am happy that you are home... please give me a call when you can... |
