Tolerance and understanding each others differences (ie: religion, politics, etc) ditto but i'd give myself boobs so i wouldn't need a woman

One thing about us as humans, what would it be? I think mine would be that we could not feel depressed for more than 12 hours, especially after reading some threads tonight! Now I'm sad...

I'd skip the disabilities, & maybe enhance stuff, too. I agree bout compassion, acceptance, no drama, & more happiness, etc.

I would change pain.
Its a good way of knowing if your are being hurt. "Owwww! The knife is slicing into my finger. I better stop." Afterwards, what is causing the pain is recognized you should be able to turn it off in your head. "Thank you pain, I will bandage my finger now." |

I would change the fact that humans are essentially greed-driven - subconsciously so in some cases.
The way that our minds are structured, true altruism cannot exist. Every action that we are capable of draws from our self-interest to some degree. I donate blood on a regular basis (I'm O+ - the universal type so they need my blood often) - yet even after I donate, I still feel a small sense of satisfaction - a sort of 'I did something good today' feeling. Therefore, I received something from the interaction - I got a rise out of it - not altruistic. I sometimes wonder what the world would be like if everyone derived greater pleasure from helping others out, rather than constantly watching out for themselves. |
