It's friday, for some of us its the end of our work week, for others its the start. However, for whatever reason fridays are the best. I don't know if its because for some its pay day, for others its fry-day
 or its just because its just because.
I guess we just a have to pick a day out of the week to be happy about. I hope you all have a marvoulous day!

Just came back home from work. I'm pretty much dead tired lol- friday's almost (well, several hours more to go) over here in the Phils. Hows you?

When I talk to him this afternoon, I will be sure to do that!
My boss right now has considered going to the caribean at some point once she is established in her field which is english. She says that they love to have american professors there. I will eventually be seeking professorship for social work or social policy, I think it would be nice to live and work on one of the islands. |

There is a great need for English instructors here in the metro (mainly for the Koreans and Chinese). I have applied online for that position but I think I wouldn't be offered the job.
I wonder however,if it's quite easy to have a teaching position there in the States? |

In the states, its not hard to get a position, its just hard to get a good position depending on your field, research, and experience. If you don't mind teaching at a community or 2 year college, there are plenty of positions. But to get tenture at a good institution it is difficult. I hope that as an undergrad and through graduate school the foundations that I lay will be enough to promote myself so that I can eventually have a good position. |
