My sister as a child was sexually abused by a man my mother was seeing at the time. Fast forward 30 years. Just a few years ago my sister (now 39 years old) called this man's house and informed his wife about what her husband had done to her when she was a child. Apparently the man went mad and recently died. His wife is blaming it on the phone call it seems.

Just pay, I'd say. He didn't feel bad that he did it...only that he was found out! Good for your sister!!

How does your sister feel now is the important thing. Does she believe his wife and feel sad for the molester?

He lost his mind when he did that to your sister BTW. It wasn't her fault then or now.

Some people are just preditors! They feel nothing for their victims. If the wife is blaming your sister it is because she is denying it as well. She'll have to deal with it on her own time. I imagine that finding out the man you loved isn't who you thought he was would be hard....

I would think she wouldn't want the public attention. But if she does...get the media involved. The wife will find NO sympathy from the public. There are too many of us out there with scars that still hurt.

Good for your sister. I wonder why he went mad was it just because he was found out or did he go mad at finally realizing what he did was wrong, felt remorseful, and didn't have a way to correct it. Either way it would seem the phone call sparked something within him to drive him mad.

That's really pathetic. She is so much in denial of what he did, that she's trying to put the blame back on the victim. Makes me think she is just as sick as he was.

The one that everyone should be focused on is your sister how is she doing? Remind her nothing she did when she was a child nor as and adult was her fault.

The man could not live with what he had done after he was found out. That is his fault for not being honest in the first place.

I do hope your sister sees this herself. And is able to deal with the past since this man is gone and no longer can hurt her.
