it's an oak snake i think...it's grey and black and looks like a braided rope from a distance

i found a snake in my front yard.....who'll come kill it for me? dont kill it, thats evil, call the rspca, or your local animal rescue people, they will sort it out.

Why would you kill a snake? they bite...we have kids around here and small animals They tend to stay away from people and things that stay away from them. I have a yard full of snakes, and my goats, dogs, cats, and child have never been bitten. Snakes are not usually aggressive. not georgia snakes.....they attack, especially the rattlers and water moccosines oh..I didn't know it was a poisonous snake. I only ran into a rattler once - almost stepped on it..but when I backed away, it went about its business. It made no moves to attack me once I backed up.

the timber rattler is nearly extinct because of people shooting them. They rarely bite anyone.

This reminds me of something that happened to me when I was at a club once in Louisville,KY. This GREAT looking lady about 24 came up to me I was also in my twenties. She asked me if I wanted to go home with her. Then she said she did have a little fetis,lol She asked me if I liked snakes, and that she had two of them that she slept with. And if THAT made any difference to me,,as she then pulled out some pictures of HER NAKED with these giant damm snakes wrapped around her beautiful naked self,lol,lol WELL,,lets just say that her beauty,,WASN'T ENOUGH for ME to go home with her,lol,lol Her snakes done scared myazz off....lol But HELL I have never liked snakes much and that old story about if YOU don't bother them THEY won't bother you,,,,DON'T BELIEVE IT.lol Was fishing once with my ex and we werte on the bank of a river as a water mockason was swimming by,,,it started stright up the bank at my ex, she screemed as I first thought it funny. THEN I seen its attack nearing her at at stright shot, so I picked up a log and killed it..Never seen another one that acted like that one but hope I don't ,lol maybe we were close to its nest or babies but IT was all about attack...lol Good luck with getting rid of yours and most in yard snake are garder snakes that are harmless...but might be something else bad??
