a whole glass of water on my laptop! Thank god it works! Whatever you do, make sure none of that water has gotten to the Lithium-Ion battery in your lappy. Why, you ask? The answer is simple- said batteries will go HIGH ORDER (meaning they will combust and possibly even explode) when the lithium cells are in contact with water. Sure, the cells would have to be leaking in order for that to happen, but you'd probably not want to take the chance. FearandLothing is right, too- let the thing air dry COMPLETELY before you try starting it up again, as any water still trapped inside might short your lappy out. And you'll be left with an expensive paperweight as a result. |
