if she thought it was rude..than that's what matters since she was on the other side of it
that is an arrogant view. Only one person out of the two gets a say on what is rude? Lol, no ****ing wonder this country is in the toilet

I told a "friend" last night about my cat who was just diagnosed with cancer and he was really sweet about it. Just now, however, he felt it necessary to email me a link relating pet cancer to second hand smoke, like I was somehow to blame for my cat's condition.

I think that was a very mean and unnecessary thing for him to do.

Was your cat diagnosed with lung cancer? If not, write him back asking for a medical explanation . . . in Latin.

My cat died of a large tumor in his abdomen. I didn't notice it until it was far too advanced. I think that it was my smoking that did it to him. It was one of things that made me quit. I still don't really forgive myself. My eyes are now tearing thing about him. We were together for so much of my life.

I found out about second hand smoke and pets on my own. It didn't help me feel any better when I found it. He sent it to you to help you quit, not to be malicious.
How can you blame yourself so quickly when there's little around us that doesn't cause cancer nowadays dear? flowerforyou
Thank you. I don't see when there's ever a good time for blame. There's a time for change, but not blame.

That put a brief smile on my face. Thank you.

My cat was diagnosed with an eye melanoma. The article he sent talked about oral cancers. No relationship whatsoever.

I want to try and cheer you up a little bit.

One week before my cat passed he was running up tree trunks. I saw him bouncing along through the house on the top of paws....in his mouth was a bird! One week before his death he still was that active and enjoying himself.

I ran over and let the bird free BTW.
Take care. flowerforyou

Edit: I didn't listen to the doctor either about when it was time. He had 6 months more of life and enjoyed himself.

My sister Nancy tole me and mom the same thing. She told us that brochcial conditions and breathing problems run rampid in homes that smoke with pets. She wasn't being mean. She was trying to inform. She told us it also causes asthma in cats and dogs. We were told that moms bird died due to smoking in the house.

Makes me wonder about the kids in homes of smokers. The people we love all around us.
Before you jump my butt; I am also a smoker. Trying hard to cut it waaaay back. My dogs are showing signs of asthma. And have had the flu too many times.

I dont smoke in my house, that is just nasty. If a person has children they should not do it either. It shouldn't have to be a law, it should be common sense

That was inconsiderate. Who knows if the smoking was involved. What matters is your cat's condition and yours as his/her Mommy. Cancer comes from more than one source. That was presumptuous of him. noway

I certainly wasn't trying to hurt anyone. I was just saying what I have been told by a professional.
I am sorry you lost your loved one. I know that kind of love.

And yes, cancer in cats comes from varying ways. They have many types. Now the lungs? That's a different story.
