Cathy, hi, I'm Connie. I haven't actually met you either.
I know what you mean Cathy. My husband also had lung cancer and died at age 37. It will be 9 yrs for me on June 13th. It's hard knowing ahead of time, awful to watch and be so helpless. I can't imagine a shock death myself. |

Hi, Connie. ..I should say that losing someone period just sucks holy sh*t...pardon my language...but how have you handled the dating thing...My god girl...I married him out of high school and then at 46 I was thrown to the wolves...Its just not right...I did everything right...Ive questioned my faith, myself and everyone around me...
Btw...Betty...that was funny about the Initials and things, all though I tend to want to say OFU more often... |

Well....that's hard to answer, the how I've done it thing. You just do. There are no options are there. I knew him in high school, since I was 15 although we didn't date then. Didn't start dating til second year of college. I don't actively look to date. I have had a few relationships that came from a widowed site that I go to. One last almost 3 years.
How long has it been for you Cathy? |

Hi Betty
No it isn't a dating site. However, several people have met and married from that site. |

Everyone handles things differently.
Especially this situation. |

Well , is that the one you were telling me about before Widows .org or something like that ?

Yes'm. That's the one
widownet.org |
|
|

I should check that out . Now that I have DSL might not take me a week to get there
|
|

LOL you should! That is where the message boards are located. And then on the main page there you can find the chat rooms based on how long you've been widowed. I just think often people find others there that they have things in common with and it sort of lends itself to relationships forming.

I do find dating a widower is easier for me than someone divorced or never married . dating someone my age who has never been married is kinda scarey..
For some reason i seem to attractic men who are much younger than I am. Do you find that too? |
