what would you have the courts do in your state when someone steals from your local Wal-Mart?? (As a former Wal-Mart Greeter; i have found in the state of New Mexico, the courts tell them to pay a fine of $100. to $150. -then let them go.)Over my employ time with Wal-Mart; I may have sent the same person shoplifting back to the courts 4 times!! What would you-all say??

I'd say welcome to Walmart!

Cut their hands off...they won't steal again.

I couldn't be a greater...it would be too tempting to say "Welcome to Wal-Mart, get your sh** and get out."

the greeters are not security, however they do alert security when there is an issue, and they do stop people at the door and ask for the reciepts when they are leaving in they event that they have unbaged merchandise, or have set off the door alarms.

I thought those door alarms were just to celebrate another sale, kind of like a gong. They go off all the time after I buy my merchandise. I don't turn around because I'm embarrassed, it's not that big a deal that I bought something. |
