I understand that, but is that so wrong? Is that to be considered a sin? Would you rather have your children stay with you for their entire lives? Maybe the disobedience was all part of God's plan after all. Disobeidience? A sin? Yes, especially in the context. The only temptation Adam and Eve had was their own pride, it was pride, inflamed by Satan, that led to the fall. What I meant was is it wrong to grow up, make your own decisions, and move away from home. That is what you were comparing them to. You said God put them out to "be free." Would you rather your children live with you for the rest of their natural lives? Never grow up? Always be Dependant? Always be children? You said that you did. You wanted to still be that child, always obedient, never making your own decisions...never growing up. I don't think growing up, being free, making your own choices, knowing good from evil, are bad things. |

If you didn't know good from evil, then when you did something evil, it would be out of ignorance. If you didn't know you could disobey God, then you wouldn't disobey God. And you are taking the analogy too far, no analogy is perfect. |
