no I personally don't. I do understand the function of religion and why many people need to. It is a comforting thing to think that someone has an ultimate plan and ultimate control. I'd rather believe that I'm in control of my life. I could give a better response in a conversation than just a post, but for survey purposes, no I do not haha

I believe in God. I just don't think he will interfere in anything that happens on this planet. He simply watches and judges us when we die. like what?? |

yeah, because I should be dead, but there has always been a force tht got me out of things alive. maybe it was the doctors who saved you and not god??? i stopped breathing and i was resusicuated. the doctoes saved me, not god We hit a deer, my cousin took antler to the head as the thing crash through the windshield. I got minor scrapes and bruises. We were hit by a semi truck missy was put in traction, I walked away. My best friend died in a drive by shooting, I didn't have a scratch on me. could just be luck?? glad your ok though One of the crashes, I was told there was no way anyone could have walked away from it, but I did. I think that even if it is "just luck" how come I am so lucky. I think its god trying to let me know that there is a reason I am still here. the docotrs told my mom and dad i wouldnt survive the next 2 hours, but i did, so why am i so lucky?? i believe the doctors were excellent who saved me. |

The question is, does he believe in you?!

I absolutely believe in God. I don't believe this all just happened. It would take more than a bang theory to form all of this, and to make a life and have life renew the way it does. I don't understand it all, or His purposes and Trust me I've had times of questions...but yes I have a strong faith. well said and I believe in God too. |

I believe God is like an energy,..like the sun,..shining on all of us,..giving us life,..for without the sun,..we would all die,..how can we blame that energy for things that are happening or not happening in our world,.. |

Actually as I've gotten older my belief in a god has lessened. Growing up I definitely believed. I went to church weekly, was saved, the whole nine yards. For me the naivety that you may be insinuating was when I had not learned to think for myself yet and thus believed because I was told to believe.

If you believe in God then there's also Satan. Freedom of will can break us from God's protection and it's what Satan tries to influence. The devil is here only to steal, kill, and destroy. Not God.

As a child I believed because it was drilled into me, but when I grew up, I believed because it made sense to me and my instinct and faith tell me it's true.

Actually as I've gotten older my belief in a god has lessened. Growing up I definitely believed. I went to church weekly, was saved, the whole nine yards. For me the naivety that you may be insinuating was when I had not learned to think for myself yet and thus believed because I was told to believe. I went through a time when I did need the level of comfort that believing can give. But that belief is not what got me through it. I depend on myself now. It's much more satisfying to know that you can get through what life throws your way on your own without having to share the credit with a deity. I am not asking you to not believe. As I stated, I understand why people believe and have in the past. I am simply asking that you accept my not believing to be more than just simple naivety. I may still be young, but that does not mean that I have been through any less than you have. It's best to not assume such things. |
